MARPA Standard Under Review:

• The MARPA DRAFT standard, MARPA 1100, addresses a streamlined procedure for submitting PMA applications for non-safety-significant parts.  Based on the September draft, the FAA has released a related order (FAA DRAFT Order 8110.SPMA Streamlined Process for Parts Manufacturer Approval) for Comment. We are still taking comments on the MARPA draft, but all such comments will now be coordinated with the FAA for consistency with their Order. We plan to release a final version of the MARPA 1100 standard (consistent with the FAA Order) very soon.
